Yaakov Bardugo, a Likud candidate and close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has not ruled out the possibility of Gadi Eisenkot joining the next government, though he sharply criticized the former IDF Chief of Staff. In an interview with Walla, Bardugo claimed Eisenkot had previously sought to join the Likud party and accused him of being responsible for Benny Gantz's political downfall. Bardugo also revealed an alleged commitment from Ofer Vinter, chairman of the Amcha Israel party, to withdraw from the election if his party fails to pass the electoral threshold in polls.

Bardugo stated that the next government should be based on the current coalition parties, including those led by Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, along with the ultra-Orthodox parties. He added that other parties could join if they align with the fundamental principles. "Politics is the art of the possible. Politics is an art where you need to create connections," Bardugo said.

He reiterated his assertion that Eisenkot had requested to join Likud, stating, "I managed negotiations with him, I will repeat it 200 times, at his request, to join Likud. He asked!" Bardugo insisted that several meetings took place, claiming there were witnesses to these discussions about joining politics and the conditions involved. Eisenkot has vehemently denied this claim.

Bardugo also blamed Eisenkot for the decision of Benny Gantz, chairman of the Blue and White party, not to run in the upcoming elections. Regarding Ofer Vinter, Bardugo urged him to withdraw to prevent vote loss for the right-wing bloc. Bardugo claimed Vinter promised to step down if his party did not pass the electoral threshold in at least three polls in the final week. Bardugo estimated that Vinter's withdrawal could bring two additional mandates to the right-wing bloc and warned that at least four mandates from Netanyahu's bloc could be lost due to votes for parties that fail to pass the threshold.
