Yanki Deri to Be Appointed Chairman of KKL's Amit Tomorrow

Yanki Deri, son of Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, is set to be appointed chairman of Amit at the Jewish National Fund (KKL) tomorrow, Monday. Currently, Yanki Deri serves as chairman of the fundraising and community relations department at the World Zionist Organization, earning a ministerial-level salary of approximately 55,000 shekels gross per month. The chairman role at Amit KKL is unpaid but includes a monthly expense reimbursement of 15,000 shekels and the authority to employ four assistants.

His appointment follows a coalition agreement signed between parties within the World Zionist Organization at the end of 2025. The coalition now seeks to implement this agreement by appointing Deri as chairman just before upcoming elections. Notably, his uncle, Shlomo Deri, previously held the same position at Amit KKL.
