The Israeli Ministry of Energy announced a further reduction in fuel prices effective from midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, marking a continuation of recent downward trends. Starting in July, the maximum price for a liter of 95-octane unleaded gasoline at self-service stations will be capped at 7.48 shekels, a decrease of 32 agorot from the previous rate. The additional charge for full-service remains unchanged at 25 agorot per liter, including VAT.
In Eilat, where fuel prices are set without VAT, the maximum price for a liter of 95-octane gasoline at self-service stations will drop by 27 agorot to 6.34 shekels. The full-service surcharge there remains steady at 21 agorot per liter, also excluding VAT. The Ministry highlighted that this price update follows several recent adjustments reflecting global oil price fluctuations and currency exchange rates, contributing to a gradual decline in consumer fuel costs after months of prices exceeding 8 shekels per liter.
