Netiv HaAsara Reaches Settlement with Former Security Officer Over Dismissal Dispute

After months of mediation, Moshav Netiv HaAsara and its former security coordinator, Ziv Volk, reached a settlement over claims tied to the end of his employment after the October 7 attacks. Under the agreement, Volk will receive 160,000 shekels in enhanced severance pay and withdraw his lawsuit.

Volk had originally sought about 1.4 million shekels, filing the case roughly a year and a half after his job ended. He alleged that he was bullied, humiliated, and defamed because of his performance during the October 7 assault, and said that the people whose safety he had been responsible for had “stabbed him in the back.”

Netiv HaAsara denied the allegations, calling the suit baseless. In its defense filing, the moshav said Volk was not fired, that his rights were not violated, and that he had been negligent in his role during the October 7 events.

The mediation deal closes all disputes between the sides, with neither admitting the other’s claims. Volk also agreed to give up any future claim or lawsuit against the moshav or anyone acting on its behalf regarding his employment and its end. Netiv HaAsara said it was pleased the matter had been resolved and hoped “everyone can go back, grow, live and develop.”
