Lufthansa Group to Ramp Up Israel Flights in July and August
Lufthansa Group is gradually restoring its Israel operations after resuming flights with Austrian Airlines in early June. In July 2026, the group plans about 29 passenger flights a week to and from Israel, and in August it expects to expand further toward its earlier activity levels.
From July 1, Lufthansa will operate 14 weekly Frankfurt-Tel Aviv flights, on routes LH 690/691 and LH 686/687. Austrian Airlines will also increase service on the Vienna-Tel Aviv route to 11 weekly flights in total. Eurowings is set to join the schedule in mid-July with four weekly flights to two destinations, Hamburg from July 10 and Dusseldorf from July 18.
The next phase begins August 1, when Lufthansa will restore the Munich-Tel Aviv route with two daily flights, LH 682/683 and LH 680/681. Swiss will also resume Zurich-Tel Aviv service with one daily flight, LX 252/253. In the same month, Austrian Airlines will raise Vienna flights from 11 to 14 per week, and Brussels Airlines is expected to operate one weekly Brussels-Tel Aviv flight.
The company said the phased expansion follows the partial return of operations in June and is intended to bring the group back to pre-recent-period levels. The report notes that the airline is expanding its Israel schedule gradually over July and August.
