Hotels and Travel Deals Race to Fill Summer Rooms as Families Look to Sukkot
As the summer holiday season approaches, Israeli hotel chains are rolling out heavy promotions to attract families facing some of the year's highest vacation costs. Offers now include up to 20% off, a free third night, a second night at 50% discount, and free admission to attractions in some packages.

Its promotions include up to 20% off, a free third night at some properties, and one free child for families booking midweek at Vert Dead Sea. At Vert Jerusalem, families booking at least two nights can choose one free attraction from a list that includes the Western Wall Tunnels, the Bloomfield Science Museum, the Biblical Zoo, and other leisure sites in the city.
Some hotels are also using extras rather than room-price cuts to stand out. In several locations, especially in central cities and around Netanya, discounts of 15% to 20% are being paired with added perks such as breakfast at no extra cost. The article warns, however, that many such offers come with conditions, including minimum-night requirements, limited dates, or specific room types.
At the same time, more Israelis are looking at the Sukkot holidays as a cheaper alternative to peak-summer travel. According to data from Last Minute, package prices during the holidays are about 25% lower on average than similar trips in July and August. Popular destinations such as Crete, Rhodes, Kos, and Cyprus are already being sold at far lower prices than August, prompting many families to postpone vacations by several weeks and save thousands of shekels.
