In observance of October, Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Maha Association in Baq'a launched an initiative to raise awareness about the disease. The association illuminated the village's Social Affairs building in pink and provided educational content on breast cancer and the importance of early detection. The campaign aims to increase women's awareness of their health and encourage them to undergo necessary screenings.

The initiative operates under the slogan "It's Time to Get Checked... Early Detection Saves Your Life," urging women not to postpone medical examinations and to prioritize their health, viewing early detection as crucial for life and well-being.

The event was professionally emceed by Manal Zein El Din, an activist with the Maha Association. Hail Sweid, the Director of the Maha Association and a lawyer, stated, "Our message today to every woman is 'Don't postpone your check-up. Early detection can make the difference, and screening can save your life.' We at the Maha Association believe our role also includes raising awareness about issues that affect our community's life and health."
