Full Moon Party Comes to Israel After Delay Over High Demand
A Thai-style Full Moon Party is set to arrive in Israel this weekend after being postponed because of overwhelming demand. The event, organized by the Thailand lovers community Sawadi Club, will be held on Saturday, June 27, at the Bayz complex on Poleg Beach in Netanya.
The party had originally been planned for May, but police ordered it canceled over fears of overcrowding and inadequate preparation. This time, organizers say it will be run in a controlled format, with advance registration, pre-purchased tickets, security, and limits on attendance to ensure a safe and quality experience.
The concept is inspired by the famous Full Moon parties on Koh Phangan in Thailand, which have become a global attraction. Thousands gather there once a month under the full moon for nonstop music, colors, fire shows, and a carefree atmosphere. Organizers say the Israeli version will bring that tropical, colorful spirit to a local audience.
The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will include Thai-themed entertainment, fire performances, Thai food stalls, face-painting stations, music, Thai beer, and DJs Alonik, Mia Habib, Jontao, and Maisha. Entry will be allowed only through registration and advance ticket purchase.
