After being postponed because of overwhelming demand, an Israeli version of Thailand’s famous Full Moon Party will take place in Israel this coming Saturday. The event is being organized by Sawadi Club, a community for Thailand lovers in Israel, which says it is bringing the island atmosphere of Thailand to a local audience.
The party is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at Bayz, on Poleg Beach in Netanya. Organizers said the earlier attempt to hold the event in May was canceled after police ordered it shut down over fears of overcrowding and concerns that it was not properly prepared.
This time, the event will be run in a controlled format, with advance registration, advance ticket sales, security, and a cap on attendance. According to the organizers, this is meant to ensure a safe and high-quality experience.
The original Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan, Thailand, has become a global draw, with thousands gathering once a month under the full moon for nonstop music, bright colors, fire shows, and a celebratory atmosphere. The Israeli edition is set to run from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and will include DJs Alonik, Maya Habib, Jontau, and Maisha, along with fire performances, Thai food stalls, face-painting stations, beer from Thailand, and what organizers describe as a tropical, colorful, and free-spirited vibe. Entry will be by registration and pre-purchased tickets only.
