Orlando Bloom has been spotted in Milan with his new girlfriend, Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, who is 28, 21 years younger than the 49-year-old actor. The pair were photographed walking together in the city during Milan Men’s Fashion Week, about a year after Bloom and Katy Perry ended their relationship.
According to reports, Bloom and Laemmel started dating in February, when they were first seen together at the Super Bowl. Since then, they have kept the romance mostly private, spending more time at home than out in public. A source close to Bloom told The Sun that the relationship is becoming serious, and said the couple recently took a trip to Switzerland, Laemmel’s home country, where they stayed in a luxury suite at a Zurich hotel that can cost more than $18,000 per night.
The source said Bloom brought his dog along, Laemmel introduced him to her family and friends, and that “they’ve become a little family.” The insider also noted that Bloom lives in Los Angeles and Laemmel in New York, but that they stay in regular contact and “there’s a spark” between them.
Bloom and Perry split last year after nine years together, an engagement, and one daughter, Daisy, who is 5. Bloom also has a 15-year-old son, Flynn, from his relationship with model Miranda Kerr. Perry discussed the breakup in an interview last week, calling the past year “so hard” and saying, “The whole year has been the worst and the best year, because every coin has two sides, and I’ve decided to see it as the best.” She added that life has become “real, grounded and stable,” and said, “If you just keep living, things can get better.”
