Oktoberfest Returns to Tel Aviv With Bavarian Food, Music, and Special Beer

Tel Aviv will host the Weihenstephan Oktoberfest from September 29 to October 1 on Givon Square, featuring seasonal beer, traditional Bavarian food, and live music. The event, organized by the German brand Weihenstephan, which represents the world's oldest brewery founded in 1040, aims to recreate the spirit of the Munich Oktoberfest.

Attendees can expect beer bars, German dishes, a sausage-eating contest, and performances by Israeli stars Knesiyat Hasechel, Muki, and Itay Galo, along with DJ Bearded Gilad. The festival will offer a special edition of Weihenstephan Festbier 2026, a German lager brewed for the festival season, described as having a rich yet light character with moderate bitterness. This beer, with 5.8% alcohol and a deep golden color, pairs well with Bavarian cuisine.

The Festbier will be available at the festival and later in specialized stores nationwide. In an effort to reduce waste, reusable Weihenstephan glasses will be distributed using a deposit system, allowing attendees to return them for a refund. The festival will run daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with free admission.

Beyond Tel Aviv, Weihenstephan will also host special events, including tastings and promotions, at 300 selected retail locations across Israel.
