אזעקת צבע אדום הופעלה הבוקר (שישי) בעוטף עזה, אך התברר כי מדובר בהתרעת שווא. האזעקה הופעלה כתוצאה מתקלה טכנית במערכות ההתרעה של פיקוד העורף. לא נגרם כל נזק ולא היו נפגעים כתוצאה מהאירוע. דובר צה"ל מסר כי "בעקבות דיווח על אזעקה, כוחות צה"ל סרקו את האזור. לא זוהתה חדירה או ירי". התקלה הטכנית נבדקת בימים אלו על ידי גורמי המקצוע בצה"ל.
