Mansour Abbas Clash Triggers Walkout on Israeli TV Panel
A heated exchange on Channel 14’s "The Patriots" on Monday led guest Guy Maroz to walk off the set after commentator Itamar Fleischman attacked MK Mansour Abbas over a photo from a conference in Turkey. Fleischman referred to Abbas in connection with images showing him alongside leaders of a terrorist organization and asked, "Why is this man not under arrest?"
Fleischman then escalated his criticism, saying, "Who knows what he told them? Who knows what he will tell them when he is in the government. He is a Trojan horse, a fifth column." Maroz responded with a joke, calling him "Guy fifth," a play on the phrase. Fleischman fired back, calling Maroz "a useful idiot" and asking if he wanted to vote for "a person sitting with Nazi leaders."
