עינב צנגאוקר, אם של חטוף ברצועת עזה, נשאה נאום תקיף בכיכר החטופים בתל אביב, בו מתחה ביקורת חריפה על ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו ועל תפקוד ההנהגה באירועי ה-7 באוקטובר.

צנגאוקר האשימה את נתניהו בהתעלמות מאזהרות מוקדמות שקיבל מגורמי ביטחון בכירים בישראל, וכן מפניות ממדינות באזור כמו מצרים ואיחוד האמירויות, שהצביעו על הסכנה.

לדבריה, ראש הממשלה מנסה להתנער מאחריותו באמצעות קמפיינים וטקטיקות הפחדה, וקראה לציבור שלא לאפשר לפחד לטשטש את העובדות ולהמשיך לדרוש אחריות על מחדל השבעה באוקטובר.

צנגאוקר סיימה את דבריה בקביעה כי מי שהיה אחראי לאסון אינו כשיר להמשיך להנהיג את ישראל ולקבל החלטות בנוגע לביטחונה.
