בסמוך ליישוב באל-חצור שבמחוז בנימין, אותרו דגל של ארגון הטרור חמאס ומטען דמה. כוחות חבלנים של משמר הגבול (מג"ב) פעלו במקום במהלך הלילה ונטרלו את הממצאים.

משטרת מחוז יהודה ושומרון פתחה בחקירת האירוע. חבלנים ביצעו פיצוץ מבוקר של החפץ, אשר התברר כמטען דמה.
