Amshinov Rebbe Concludes 56-Hour Fast, Holds Post-Yom Kippur Celebration

The Amshinov Rebbe concluded a continuous 56-hour fast on Thursday morning, breaking his Yom Kippur observance with a traditional "Havdalah" ceremony over wine. The extended fast began on the eve of Yom Kippur and continued through the holy day and into the following day. Throughout the period, the Rebbe engaged in intensive prayer and study, including leading services like "Kol Nidre" and "Neilah," and delivering a two-hour lecture on the Temple service as described in the tractate Yoma.

Following the conclusion of Yom Kippur, the Rebbe entered a celebratory "Tish" (a gathering with the Rebbe) around 3:00 AM on Thursday in the Amshinov study hall in Jerusalem's Beit Vagan neighborhood. This "Tish" lasted for many hours, concluding around 1:00 PM. During the gathering, the Rebbe offered blessings and "L'chaim" (to life) to his Hasidim, responding "Amen" to each individual blessing, a practice that continued throughout the extended celebration.
