ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו מתכוון למנות את הפרשן יעקב ברדוגו, המשמש כפרשן בערוץ 14, לתפקיד שר התקשורת בממשלה הבאה. כך דיווח העיתונאי מיכאל האוזר-טוב מהעיתון "הארץ" בסוף השבוע האחרון. על פי הפרסום, נתניהו הזכיר את כוונתו זו פעמיים. בפעם הראשונה, במהלך שיחה עם מקורבים, כשנשאל על התפקיד המיועד לו. בפעם השנייה, זמן קצר לאחר סגירת הרשימות. נתניהו הסביר כי הוא "רוצה לראות בתפקיד מנהל יעיל, המסוגל לבצע רפורמה". ברדוגו, ששובץ במקום ה-11 ברשימת הליכוד, הביע בעבר עניין בתפקיד שר המשפטים, אך סיכוייו לקבל תפקיד זה נמוכים.
