Eritrean Man Arrested After Attacking Bus Driver and Municipal Inspectors in South Tel Aviv

A man in his 40s of Eritrean origin was arrested on suspicion of attacking a bus driver and two inspectors from Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality's Sela unit, police said. The incident was reported yesterday morning in South Tel Aviv, after an argument broke out between the suspect and the driver.

Police and inspectors arrived at the scene, but the suspect refused to cooperate, became violent, and bit and struck the inspectors. He was then taken for questioning at the Sharet police station.

Police said they will ask a court to extend his detention, depending on the findings of the investigation.
