Five-Room Villa in Ofakim Sells for NIS 2.33 Million in Weekly Housing Roundup

Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics said last week that the housing price index, which includes both new and secondhand apartments, fell 0.3% in March-April compared with the previous two months, and was down 1.3% year over year. Against that backdrop, a nationwide brokerage network review highlighted recent secondhand home sales across several cities.

In Beersheba, a two-room apartment on Yad Vashem Street in Gimmel, 55 square meters on the 11th of 18 floors with an elevator, sold for NIS 500,000. A three-room apartment on Mivtza Kedem Street in the new Vav neighborhood, 60 square meters on the fourth floor of four, sold for NIS 600,000. A four-room apartment on Mordechai Maklef Street in the new Vav neighborhood, 93 square meters on the third of four floors, fetched NIS 1.47 million.

The most expensive deal in the survey was in Ofakim, where a five-room villa on Ido Hanavi Street, built on a 570-square-meter lot and covering 160 square meters, with parking and a safe room, sold for NIS 2.33 million. In Ashdod, a three-room apartment on HaAdmor MiBlez Street in Rova Gimel, 60 square meters on the first of four floors, sold for NIS 1.42 million, while a five-room apartment on Wolfson Street in Rova Tet-Vav, 160 square meters with a 10-square-meter balcony, elevator, parking and safe room, sold for NIS 2.66 million. Another five-room apartment in Rova Yud-Bet, 166 square meters on the fifth of 10 floors with a 14-square-meter balcony and the same amenities, sold for NIS 2.9 million.

In Bat Yam, a three-room apartment on Bar Yehuda Street, 70 square meters on the second of four floors with parking, sold for NIS 1.71 million, and a 3.5-room apartment on Sheshet HaYamim Street, 80 square meters on the first of five floors with an elevator, sold for NIS 1.82 million. In Harish, three four-room apartments on Kalanit, Lotem and Alon streets sold for NIS 1.28 million, NIS 1.35 million and NIS 1.37 million respectively. In Acre, a three-room apartment on Moshe Sharet Street, 70 square meters on the top floor of four, sold for NIS 700,000. The review was based on data from Re/Max.
