צה"ל הודיע היום (יום שלישי) על פיצוץ מנהרות טרור תת-קרקעיות ברכס עלי טאהר, שברצועת עזה. הפיצוץ בוצע כחלק מפעילות מבצעית נרחבת של צה"ל נגד תשתיות טרור של ארגון חמאס. דובר צה"ל הדגיש כי המסר מהפיצוץ מהדהד לכל אויבי ישראל, וכי צה"ל ימשיך לפעול נגד כל איום על ביטחון המדינה. הפעולה באה על רקע מתיחות גוברת באזור, ובעקבות ניסיונות חוזרים ונשנים של חמאס לחדור לשטח ישראל ולפגוע באזרחים. צה"ל מבהיר כי הוא ערוך לכל תרחיש וימשיך לשמור על ביטחון גבולותיה של ישראל.
