Singer Ahrele Samet Releases New Hasidic Melody Project

Singer Ahrele Samet has released his fifth project in the 'Heilege Minutin' series, a collection of sacred melodies from the Hasidic tradition. This latest installment features a sublime tune originating from the courts of Tolded Abraham Isaac and Tolded Aaron, a melody composed by the Rebbe of Shomrei Emunim, of blessed memory. The tune is based on the piyyut 'Kevikrat Ro'eh Edro' (As a Shepherd Inspects His Flock) and reflects the deep spiritual and Hasidic essence of these Hasidic dynasties.

The project is dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Shimon Braun, of blessed memory, a close associate of the Rebbe and a philanthropist. The musical arrangement and production were handled by David Taub, who aimed to preserve the authenticity of the Hasidic melody while providing a rich sonic experience. Mix and mastering were done by Shlomo Zalman Wechter, with graphics by Shimon Rochman SDR.

Samet's 'Heilege Minutin' series has become a significant platform for bringing sacred Hasidic melodies to a wider audience, connecting tradition with contemporary sounds. This release joins a recent wave of new music in the Jewish music world, including projects by Motty Steinmetz, Srulik Cohen, and Uri Greenwald and Elchanan Einbal.
