מפלס הכנרת ירד בכמעט 5 סנטימטרים במהלך חג ראש השנה, זאת בשל גלי החום הכבדים ששררו בתחילת ספטמבר. הירידה המדויקת שנרשמה בחג היא 4.5 סנטימטרים, והיא ממשיכה מגמה של ירידה במפלס האגם המושפעת ממזג האוויר.

נכון לעכשיו, מפלס הכנרת עומד על 213.455- מטרים. הוא נמצא 4.655 מטרים מתחת לקו האדום העליון (208.80- מטרים) ורק 45.5 סנטימטרים מעל הקו האדום התחתון (213.00- מטרים).
