Dozens of Shelter Dogs and Cats Seek Homes Across Israel

Animal welfare groups across Israel are highlighting dozens of dogs and cats available for adoption, ranging from puppies and kittens to older, trained pets and animals that need extra patience. The listings emphasize that many are already house-trained, good with people or other animals, and ready for immediate placement in family homes.

Among the dogs featured are Silver, a 5.5-year-old large, gentle mixed dog from KlavLuv in northern Israel; Ruthie, a 1.5-year-old mixed shepherd; and Ari, a one-year-old long-haired dog suited to families with older children. Other shelters are promoting Tal, a four-month-old pup rescued from East Jerusalem, Keli, a 2.5-year-old female, and Beni, who recovered after arriving in very poor condition. Several organizations are also urging the public to visit regular adoption days, including Saturdays in Kibbbutz Yassur, Ben Zion in the Sharon area, and at First Pet in Rishon LeZion.

Cats are also waiting for homes. Kfar Saba and Ra'anana Animal Lovers are offering Maio, a seven-month-old tabby, Bamba, a 5-month-old ginger-and-white cat rescued from a cardboard box, and Moradi, an eight-month-old gentle ginger cat. SPCA Tel Aviv is listing Mino, a three-month-old kitten, while SOS Animals is promoting Lucky, a rescued kitten from the streets of Tel Aviv.

Several shelters describe animals with difficult pasts and special needs. By the Animals includes Demka, a 35-kilo mixed pit bull, Habetzi, a one-year-old 17-kilo dog, and Hamda, a black female that should go to a home without other animals. Happy Life for Dogs is seeking a home for John, who has waited four years and is now in his first foster placement, while Gilboa Loves Animals is covering medical costs for Bon through its compassionate-adoption project. The shelters ask adopters to come with all household members and contact them by WhatsApp or on adoption days to meet the animals.
