ג'ארד קושנר, שליחו של נשיא ארה"ב לשעבר דונלד טראמפ, חשף בריאיון כי ארה"ב ניצלה את הבידוד הבינלאומי של ישראל לאחר כישלון תקיפה בדוחא (קטאר) כדי להפעיל לחץ על ירושלים להגיע להסכם בעזה. קושנר תיאר את התקיפה כ"מעשה נורא" וכישלון צבאי שהוביל לבידוד דיפלומטי של ישראל.
