Kushner: US Leveraged Israel's Qatar Stumble to Push Gaza Deal
Jared Kushner, former President Donald Trump's envoy, stated in an interview that the U.S. exploited Israel's international isolation following a failed operation in Doha, Qatar, to pressure it into a deal concerning Gaza. Kushner described the operation in Doha as "terrible" and a military failure that led to Israel's global ostracization.
"We used that dynamic to push them toward a deal that today, right now, they are very happy with," Kushner said. He acknowledged that at the time, Israel felt some discomfort with the actions the U.S. was pushing them to take.
However, Kushner concluded that the outcome proved to be excellent for Israel and also beneficial for the residents of Gaza.
