בשבועות האחרונים מתנהלת חקירה משותפת של השב"כ ומחוז ש"י במשטרה, במסגרתה נעצרו כ-12 חשודים מרכזיים. החשודים, על פי החשד, פעלו להקמת תשתיות טרור ותכננו פיגועי ענק במספר מוקדים ברחבי הארץ. במהלך הפעילות נתפסו כלי נשק ואמצעי לחימה.
