בשעות הבוקר המוקדמות, בסביבות השעה 05:49, התקבל דיווח במוקד 101 של מד"א במרחב ירושלים על תאונת דרכים ברחוב ההגנה בעיר. על פי הדיווח, רוכב אופנוע נפגע מרכב.

צוותי מד"א שהגיעו למקום העניקו טיפול רפואי ראשוני לרוכב האופנוע, גבר בן 46, שסבל מחבלות בגפיים. מצבו הוגדר בינוני.
