איש יחסי הציבור רני רהב תקף בחריפות את איש התקשורת מרדכי דוד, בעקבות סרטון שפרסם דוד בו תיעד שיחה עם צעירה שהביעה שנאה לראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו. דוד שיתף כי הצעירה אמרה שאינה משנה לה למי להצביע, כל עוד זה לא נתניהו, וכי אחיה, אוהדי הפועל, מצביעים לשר איתמר בן גביר. דוד סיכם בתקווה שאחיה ישכנעו אותה "לבחור נכון" עד הבחירות.

רהב, בתגובה חריפה שפרסם בחשבון ה-X שלו, הגן על הצעירה וכתב: "היא חכמה!!!!! היא מלח הארץ! ואתה פושע עלוב נפש".
