Chabad Rabbis Urge Voting, Deny Political Endorsement Ahead of Election

The Rabbinical Court of Chabad in the Holy Land has issued a comprehensive clarification ahead of the Knesset elections, stating that the Hasidic movement is not partisan and prohibiting the political use of its name or that of the Rebbe. The rabbis emphasized that no individual is authorized to speak on behalf of the entire Chabad community.

Despite the non-partisan stance, the court urged its followers to participate in the voting process. They encouraged members to choose "the more Haredi list for the sake of Heaven," a phrase commonly understood within the Haredi community to refer to parties prioritizing religious interests.

The statement aims to prevent any single political faction from claiming Chabad's endorsement, while still encouraging active participation in the democratic process by supporting candidates perceived as most aligned with Haredi values.
