Heat Wave Eases Slightly, But High Temperatures Persist in Some Areas

Following a period of intense heat, temperatures across Israel are beginning to moderate, though full relief is not yet in sight. On Thursday, skies are expected to clear after morning clouds dissipate, leading to pleasant weather. While temperatures will drop slightly, particularly in mountainous and inland regions, they will remain somewhat above average for this time of year.

Friday is forecast to be partly cloudy in the morning, becoming fair later in the day. A further slight decrease in temperatures is anticipated, especially inland and in the mountains, bringing them to seasonal averages. Heat stress is also expected to ease.

Saturday will continue the trend of fair weather after morning partial cloudiness, with temperatures remaining around seasonal norms. However, significant heat remains a concern in specific areas. A "red" early warning for heat stress has been issued for Beit She'an Valley, Kinneret Basin, Jordan Valley, southern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea, and northern Arava.

"Orange" early warnings are in effect for southern Golan Heights, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, northern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea, Eilat Bay, and southern Arava. "Yellow" warnings cover a wide range of areas including eastern Upper Galilee, western Lower Galilee, Jezreel Valley, Menashe Hills, northern coastal plain, northern Sharon, Gush Dan, the Shephelah, northern and northeastern Samaria, the Judean Desert foothills, northern and eastern Negev, and the southern Negev and Eilat Mountains. An additional yellow warning is in place for Mount Carmel and the southern coastal plain.

Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 30°C in Jerusalem, 31°C in Tel Aviv, 32°C in Haifa, 36°C in Kiryat Shmona and Tiberias, 32°C in Safed, 32°C in Ashdod, 33°C in Be'er Sheva, 32°C in Mitzpe Ramon, and 40°C in Eilat.
