First Female Battalion Commander in Gaza Appointed to Home Front Command Role
Colonel Yarden Shukron, who previously served as the first female battalion commander in the Gaza Strip, has been appointed commander of the new "Arbel" brigade within the Home Front Command. The "Arbel" brigade is the second regular brigade established in the command and is tasked with training and instructing Home Front Command officers. Its structure will include the Command Battalion, the School for Home Front Professions, and the Command Training Base.
Shukron's prior roles include commanding the School for Home Front Professions and the "Shachar" battalion. On October 7th, she fought in the city of Ofakim and at the Urim base, both located within the Home Front Command's Southern District.
