Airport Authority, Unions Agree on Partnership and Dialogue

Following a joint meeting, the Histadrut labor federation, the Airports Authority workers' council, and the Airports Authority itself have agreed to embark on a path of partnership and dialogue. The agreement aims to ensure the continued proper and uninterrupted operation of the Airports Authority, particularly in light of the expected congestion at Ben Gurion Airport during the High Holidays.

Key stakeholders, including Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David, Airports Authority Council Chairman Yiftah Ron-Tal, Authority CEO Shervi Kadmi, workers' council representatives led by Pinchas Idan, and the Treasury's Wage Commissioner Efi Malkin, committed to a shared future. They stated their intention to focus on the future, understanding that dialogue, cooperation, and consensus are the best ways to address the challenges facing the authority.

The authority's management, employees, and the Histadrut will work together to guarantee operational continuity and optimal service for passengers. The authority also plans to accelerate the recruitment of necessary personnel according to its existing plan. Discussions will deepen regarding the authority's future, its adaptation to upcoming challenges and opportunities, and steps for its continued development, efficiency, and service quality.

Participants expressed appreciation for the employees' efforts during wartime, including during air raid sirens and missile attacks. The leaders emphasized their shared goal of maintaining a strong, stable, and advanced Airports Authority that serves the State of Israel and its citizens. They described the agreements as a "basis for opening a new page of partnership, trust, and respectful discourse" and pledged to continue working together for the benefit of employees, passengers, and the nation.
