Man Charged with Sex Offenses After Violating House Arrest

A 22-year-old man from Netanya, Eliyahu Ganah, has been indicted on charges of sexually assaulting multiple women in the city. The indictment, filed Monday at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court, details a pattern of behavior where Ganah allegedly approached 10 complainants on different occasions while riding his motorcycle, either on the street or in residential buildings, and committed indecent acts. Significantly, some of these assaults reportedly occurred while Ganah was under house arrest.

The prosecution has requested that Ganah be held in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings, citing his "blatant disregard for the law and high dangerousness that cannot be managed by alternative detention." The prosecution emphasized that his conduct indicates a severe lack of respect for legal constraints and poses a significant risk that cannot be mitigated by less restrictive measures.

This case follows a separate incident in Bat Yam, where a 51-year-old man is facing charges, including rape, for an alleged assault on an 18-year-old woman in an apartment hotel earlier in August. A prosecutor's statement of intent to indict was filed two weeks prior to the current indictment, indicating that a severe indictment is expected. Police apprehended the suspect in a Bat Yam open area shortly after the alleged incident was reported on August 6th.
