Super-Pharm Slashes Prices After 'Gilboa Index' Exposes Higher Costs

Following a report by the 'Gilboa Index' that revealed Super-Pharm's prices for supplements and Korean skincare products were significantly higher than those on international sites like iHerb and Amazon, the Israeli pharmacy chain has implemented substantial price reductions.

The 'Gilboa Index,' which previously found Super-Pharm's prices to be tens of percent higher, focused particularly on the elevated cost of Korean beauty items. In response to the exposure, Super-Pharm has lowered prices across various product categories.

For instance, the price of a specific red cushion makeup product has dropped by 16%, now averaging 59 shekels, compared to its previous price of 70 shekels on iHerb. A hydrating toner's price has decreased by 20% to 60 shekels, down from 75 shekels on iHerb. Additionally, a vitamin serum saw a 22.5% price cut, now costing 55 shekels at Super-Pharm.

These price adjustments represent a reversal from the situation highlighted in the 'Gilboa Index' report, where Super-Pharm was found to be more expensive.
