Three Suspects Charged in Violent Robberies of Delivery Drivers in Lod and Ramla

An indictment was filed on Monday against three individuals, including a woman from Jaffa and two cousins from Lod and Ramla, all in their 20s, for allegedly carrying out four violent robberies against delivery drivers and stealing tens of thousands of shekels worth of property. The robberies occurred in the cities of Lod and Ramla.

The investigation began following a violent robbery on July 23, where masked assailants allegedly attacked a delivery driver, smashed his vehicle's window, and stole his belongings. Police identified a pattern of operation and traced the suspects.

During a covert operation on August 7, undercover officers from the Lod station, along with special patrol units, arrested the three suspects minutes after they allegedly committed another robbery. The alleged method involved the female suspect ordering deliveries using fake names and addresses, then informing her two accomplices of the drivers' arrival times and locations. The two men, disguised with masks, would then ambush the drivers, assault them, and steal their deliveries, cash, and property.

All three suspects were arrested and their detention was extended periodically. Investigators compiled evidence linking them to four separate delivery driver robberies that took place in Lod and Ramla over the past two months. The police stated they will continue to act decisively against criminal groups committing violent robberies to ensure public safety.
