Three Indicted for Robbing Delivery Drivers Using Fake Orders

Three individuals, two cousins in their 20s from Ramla and Lod, and a resident of Jaffa, have been indicted for a series of four robberies targeting delivery drivers in Lod and Ramla. According to the indictment, the suspects conspired to commit robberies, with one woman allegedly ordering deliveries under false names and to non-existent addresses. She would then inform her two male accomplices of the delivery times and locations.

The two men, reportedly masked and armed with items like pepper spray, would then ambush the drivers, assault them, and steal their deliveries, cash, and property. The police stated that the trio was apprehended "red-handed" minutes after allegedly committing another robbery. The investigation began following a violent robbery on July 23rd in Lod, where masked assailants attacked a driver, smashed his car window, and stole valuables. A special investigation team identified a pattern of similar robberies in Lod and Ramla.

Following covert surveillance, police and special patrol units arrested the three suspects on August 7th. Their detention was extended periodically during the investigation, which yielded evidence of four robberies committed over the past two months. The indictment details charges including armed robbery in a group, aggravated assault in a group, and vehicle break-ins. The total value of stolen cash and property is estimated in the tens of thousands of shekels, with some delivery vehicles also sustaining damage. Police released footage of the suspects' arrest.
