Northern Israeli Man Indicted for Defrauding Customers of Hundreds of Thousands via Impersonation Scam
The Tel Aviv District Prosecution Unit has filed charges against a 26-year-old man from northern Israel for fraud and deception involving hundreds of thousands of shekels. The indictment, submitted to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, accuses the suspect of conducting a scam through impersonation calls. According to the allegations, the man contacted food and catering companies to obtain details of customer orders. He then impersonated representatives of these businesses to reach out to customers, using various pretexts to acquire their credit card information. Using these details, he carried out transactions amounting to hundreds of thousands of shekels. Alongside the indictment, the prosecution requested his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
