Northern Israel Man Indicted for Extortion and Threats Involving Illegal Loans

An indictment was filed at the Nazareth District Court against a northern Israel resident accused of extortion and threats. The suspect allegedly threatened a victim who had taken illegal loans from him and failed to repay them. As part of the threats, the suspect seized a jeep worth over 100,000 shekels belonging to the victim's father, threatened to take over the family's land plot, and sent threatening messages.

Additionally, about two months ago, a grenade was thrown at the victim's home in the village of Bukata in the Golan Heights. The suspect was arrested following an investigation by the Northern District police.
