Belz Rebbe Shows Humility at Granddaughter’s Wedding Ceremony
Last week, hundreds of Hasidim and community members gathered to celebrate the wedding of the first granddaughter of the Belz Rebbe. The bride is the daughter of Rabbi Israel Moskowitz, grandson of the Belz Rebbe and son of Rabbi Yosef Meir Moskowitz, the son of the Malitz Rebbe and son-in-law of the Belz Rebbe. The groom is the son of Rabbi Shalom Rokach, son of the Yerslov Rebbe and son-in-law of the Nadvorna Rebbe of Jerusalem.
The joyous event took place at the residence and study hall of the Belz Rebbe, attended mostly by his followers and admirers. A particularly moving moment occurred during the chuppah ceremony when the Belz Rebbe displayed rare humility by relinquishing all honors to the other grandfathers and rebbes present, reserving only the honor of reading the ketubah for himself.
The celebration continued with great spirit and joy late into the night, marking a significant family and communal milestone.
