Belz Hasidic Youth Yehuda Aryeh Weber Dies at 14 After Long Illness in Jerusalem

מאת משה ויסברג

The story · English

Yehuda Aryeh Weber, a young member of the Belz Hasidic community in Jerusalem, passed away on Saturday afternoon at the age of 14 after battling a severe illness for five years. Born to Rabbi Shmuel Weber, a prominent Belz Hasid and son of the well-known Brooklyn grocer Shlomo Weber, and Malka Gindel, daughter of influential Belz spiritual leader Baruch Mordechai Kuperstein, Yehuda Aryeh was deeply connected to the community. He studied at the Belz Talmud Torah in Jerusalem and began attending the Belz yeshiva ketana last Av. Despite enduring difficult treatments, he remained dedicated to his studies and accepted his suffering with love and silence. Many prayed for his recovery, but he ultimately passed away. His funeral took place on Saturday night at 11:00 PM, starting from the Sanhedria funeral home in Jerusalem, proceeding through the main Belz synagogue in Kiryat Belz, and concluding with burial at the Mount of Remembrance cemetery in the section for the National Religious community. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
