Israeli Coordinator Reports 70%-80% of Aid Trucks to Gaza Carry Food Supplies

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) released data detailing humanitarian aid delivered to the Gaza Strip through Israel this past week. According to the report, 70% to 80% of the trucks entering Gaza were loaded with food supplies. Additionally, hundreds of trucks brought medical equipment, including wheelchairs, surgical tools, and medicines. Other shipments included equipment for water and sewage systems, sanitation, and hygiene, such as large water tanks and chlorine tablets.

The report also noted that approximately 150 Gaza residents with permits to enter third countries left Gaza last Tuesday, traveling through Israel to Jordan on their way to final destinations. During the week, Gilad Erdan, chairman of the Unity Party, visited the Kerem Shalom crossing at the Gaza border and participated in a protest opposing the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the entry of foreign forces.
