A man in his early 30s was fatally shot overnight between Thursday and Friday in Jaffa. Emergency medical teams found him unconscious on Jerusalem Boulevard and transported him to Wolfson Hospital in Holon, where he was pronounced dead. Paramedics at the scene described the victim as unresponsive with severe injuries and said they performed prolonged resuscitation efforts before his transfer. Police from the Jaffa station arrived promptly and are conducting searches for suspects linked to the shooting.
Preliminary police investigations indicate the shooting is connected to a criminal dispute over inheritance. The authorities have stated that they will seek to extend the detention of a suspect in court as the investigation continues. This incident follows another violent event just a day earlier, when a 28-year-old Haifa resident was arrested for shooting a 72-year-old man in the city, leaving him seriously injured.
The police have not yet released further details about the suspects or the ongoing search but are treating the case as part of a broader pattern of escalating violence in the area.
