Magen David Adom Receives $500,000 in Protective Gear and New Ambulance for Emergency Responders

Magen David Adom (MDA) has received a donation valued at approximately $500,000 from the Friends of Magen David Adom Foundation, including 750 ceramic bulletproof vests and a new ambulance. The protective vests will be distributed to MDA paramedics and medics across Israel to safeguard them during terrorist attacks, rocket strikes, and shooting incidents. The new ambulance was inaugurated on Wednesday at the MDA headquarters in Ramla and will serve emergency teams in Ashkelon and its surrounding areas.

The need for enhanced protective gear became especially urgent during recent conflicts, where MDA personnel repeatedly operated in dangerous zones under fire. Lessons learned from operations "With the Lion" and "Roar of the Lion" underscored the importance of advanced personal protection for emergency responders. The donation is part of a longstanding collaboration between the Friends of MDA and Magen David Adom.

Gili Mushkovitz, MDA's Deputy Director of Operations, stated that the new ambulance and ceramic vests will strengthen MDA's operational response, enabling the organization to continue delivering life-saving medical care swiftly and professionally while maximizing the safety of its teams.
