21 volunteer emergency medical technicians from Magen David Adom joined the organization’s on-call network in the Katzrin Regional Council area. The volunteers received on-call bags with advanced medical equipment that will help them save lives. The head of MDA’s Jordan Region emphasized the importance of the addition during this period of heightened alert.
This week, 21 volunteer emergency medical technicians from Magen David Adom, residents of the Golan, joined the organization’s on-call network. The moving ceremony took place at the MDA station in the Katzrin Regional Council, where the new volunteers received on-call bags containing advanced medical equipment. This equipment will enable them to provide life-saving medical treatment even outside their regular volunteer shifts in ambulances and intensive care vehicles in MDA’s Jordan Region.

Oren Avitan, head of MDA’s Jordan Region, welcomed the new medics and stressed their importance. “The addition of the 21 medics to the on-call network in the Golan is a significant reinforcement for saving lives in MDA’s Jordan Region,” Avitan said. He added that this is especially important “in these days, when we are on high alert and prepared for every scenario.” Avitan noted that the advanced medical equipment in the on-call bags will serve the volunteers in routine incidents and emergencies. He wished the volunteers that they would be called only for childbirths, expressing the hope for calm and good news.
Also present at the ceremony were Dudu Berger, head of the motorcycle and on-call unit in MDA’s Jordan Region, deputy volunteer coordinator Shahar Ben Anat, Golan Sector Volunteer Committee chairwoman Efrat Rothstein, and committee member Lior Erikson.
