Israel is currently considering removing British representatives, and possibly officials from Italy and Germany, from the multinational coordination center in Kiryat Gat that operates in relation to the Gaza Strip. This move comes amid escalating criticism from these European countries regarding Israeli government policies. The Financial Times reported that this step is being weighed as a response to the increased scrutiny.

The coordination center, managed by U.S. military officers working alongside the IDF and representatives from about 50 countries and international organizations, was established to monitor the ceasefire brokered by the United States. In recent weeks, internal discussions have focused on ending British participation in the center. This follows Israel’s decision to expel Dutch representatives after the Netherlands imposed a boycott on products originating from Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights. Spanish representatives were also removed earlier due to what Jerusalem described as "obsessive anti-Israel bias."

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar emphasized that Israel will not allow hostile actions against it without responding. These developments highlight the deteriorating relations between Israel and some of its European allies, particularly amid tensions over construction in Judea and Samaria. British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has indicated a willingness to intensify measures against Israel, including considering a ban on trade in goods from settlements.

Additionally, Britain, Germany, Italy, around 20 other countries, and the European Commission sent a letter protesting the advancement of tenders for the E-1 settlement project. Meanwhile, the Peace Council stated it continues to work with Israeli counterparts to maintain and strengthen multinational coordination and to accelerate progress on President Trump’s comprehensive peace plan for Gaza.
