Coach Eliniv Berda emphasized the challenge ahead, acknowledging the need for an away victory to advance. He praised Atalanta as a high-level opponent and tournament favorite, while highlighting Hapoel's modest stature and own ambitions.

Berda also addressed the futures of key players, notably Satuir Turiel, noting interest from Serie A clubs and stating that decisions on his participation will be made after assessing his physical condition in training. Similarly, Emmanuel Boateng's readiness will be evaluated following a full training session.

Midfielder Omri Altman expressed pride in the club's fan support, including those traveling to Bergamo, and described the expected atmosphere as electric and home-like.
