The Knesset coalition survived a round of no-confidence votes on Monday even though ultra-Orthodox lawmakers stayed away from the voting over the government’s refusal to advance the daycare subsidies bill. The plenum session ended after about an hour.
According to the report, the absence of the ultra-Orthodox members did not topple the government, and the no-confidence motions were rejected in the plenum. Their boycott was tied to the decision not to bring the “mo’atzaot” bill, the daycare facilities legislation, to a vote.
