Former Balfour Residence Worker Accuses Sara Netanyahu of Severe Abuse and Humiliation

Rami Ben Hamo, a former household employee at the Prime Minister's residence on Balfour Street, has filed a lawsuit against the Prime Minister's Office alleging severe mistreatment by Sara Netanyahu. The lawsuit, submitted on August 25, 2026, claims that between March 2023 and December 2025, Ben Hamo endured daily verbal abuse, humiliations, and unreasonable work demands, including cleaning floors on his knees and performing tasks beyond his job description. He alleges he worked 60 to 80 hours of overtime monthly and was subjected to ethnic slurs such as "You are an underdeveloped Moroccan."

The complaint details incidents of shouting, insults, and degrading remarks, including accusations of poor cleaning and being told "I and the Prime Minister do not like you." Despite suffering a heart event requiring angioplasty in February 2025, the harsh treatment allegedly continued. Ben Hamo also claims he was forced to buy groceries with his own money and was ordered to rewrite his resignation letter to state "personal reasons" instead of citing abuse. The final incident involved a confrontation over the arrangement of plastic bags, during which Sara Netanyahu reportedly threw bags on the floor and shouted at him to leave the residence.

Ben Hamo demands compensation of 450,000 shekels, asserting that Prime Minister's Office management was aware of the abuse but failed to intervene. The lawsuit states that the emotional toll has left him with lasting distress. The Prime Minister's Office has yet to respond to the allegations.
