Israel Electric Installs New Transformer in Modiin Illit to Boost Power Supply

Israel Electric Corporation installed an additional transformer today in the Ahuzat Barkfeld neighborhood of Modiin Illit to increase electricity supply capacity and address local demand pressures. This installation came a day after a joint inspection by senior Israel Electric officials and Modiin Illit municipality representatives at the city's electrical load centers, where immediate and long-term infrastructure strengthening measures were agreed upon.

Alongside the transformer installation, the municipality plans to remove structures obstructing ventilation openings near the station to ensure proper operation. Modiin Illit's Mayor, Rabbi Yaakov Guterman, visited the site with municipal and Israel Electric representatives to oversee the work. Israel Electric is also advancing a high-voltage line addition to strengthen the city's electrical grid and accommodate growing demand.

Further agreements include collaboration between the company and municipality to identify suitable locations for new power stations within the city. Eli Yaloz, Israel Electric's Ayalon area manager, emphasized continuing efforts to remove existing obstacles and develop infrastructure to improve electricity reliability for residents.

Mayor Guterman expressed deep gratitude to Israel Electric's management and field teams for their swift and professional response, highlighting their dedication despite challenging conditions. He specifically thanked CEO Meir Spiegler, Network VP Sharly Shariki, and manager Eli Yaloz for their commitment to the city's needs, praising the workers who installed the transformer without interrupting power supply.
