Oscar Gloukh Declines Deportivo La Coruña Move Despite Spanish Interest
Oscar Gloukh, the 22-year-old Israeli midfielder currently playing for Ajax, has reportedly rejected a potential transfer to Deportivo La Coruña, a Spanish club recently promoted back to La Liga. According to Voetbal International, although Deportivo has shown interest in Gloukh, he does not consider the move an attractive option at this time. Gloukh joined Ajax from Red Bull Salzburg about a year ago for 14.75 million euros but struggled to make a significant impact during his debut season in Amsterdam.
This season, however, Gloukh has started stronger, including scoring a hat-trick against Vojvodina, earning praise from Ajax coach Mitchell. Despite this progress, competition for midfield positions has intensified with the arrival of Julian Brandt. Prior to Brandt's signing, Moroccan international Ezdine Ounahi from Girona was a key Ajax transfer target, and reports now suggest that Viktor Tsygankov, also from Girona, is expected to join the club.
